I have been working in care for 25 years, and for almost 8 of those years I’ve been part of Horizons.
During my time in horizons, I have been promoted to senior and then again to Assistant manager.
During this time, I’ve worked across most of the houses, which has given me the chance to really get
to know the young people and build strong, trusting relationships with them.
Supporting young people isn’t just my job — it’s something I care deeply about. I want every young
person in our care to feel safe, nurtured, and respected, and to know that their views and wishes are
always listened to. My biggest hope is that they leave our care feeling confident, valued, and ready to
achieve positive things in their lives.
I am proud of the young people I support and proud to be part of Horizons, where we work together to
give every young person the chance to thrive.
