Registered House Manager

As a Registered House Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and operation of a residential children’s home. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance while leading and developing a confident, motivated team.

The Role

  • Lead the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the home
  • Ensure high-quality, person-centred, and trauma-informed care at all times
  • Promote a strong safeguarding and child protection culture
  • Lead, support, and develop the house team through supervision and training
  • Maintain compliance with Care Inspectorate and SSSC requirements
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively
  • Work positively with Local Authorities, external agencies, and regulators

Qualifications and Experience

  • SVQ Level 4 / SCQF Level 9 Children and Young People and CSLM (or equivalent meeting SSSC requirements)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience at management level and 5+ years in residential child care
  • Experience of supervising staff within a residential children’s setting
  • Full clean UK driving licence

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: £36,500 – £48,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
